Ice and Salt experiment

| We looked at how ice reacts when it comes into contact with salt. The salt made the ice melt. We could hear the ice cracking as it started to melt. |

Pyjama Day

As a fundraiser for autism awareness the school held a pyjama day. We dressed up in our pyjamas. We raised over $180 which goes to Autism NZ to help them with their research.

Ice Bergs

| We learnt about icebergs in Antarctica. |
 |
| The term "iceberg" refers to chunks of ice larger than 5 metres. |
 |
| We learnt that usually around 90% of the volume of an iceberg is under water. |
 |
| We made our own icebergs and watched to see how they would float. |
